When it comes to keeping track of your physical activities, you might think that you need a fitness band or a smartwatch. Well, with Google Fit which was launched recently, you no longer need an Android wearable device.
This new app was released by Google and it uses sensors already found on Android devices to detect walking, running and as well as biking. When we say Android devices, we meant all of them including your smartphones, tablets, web and Android Wear devices.
As we mentioned earlier, Google Fit app can track you walking, running and biking and on top of that, you are also able to connect the app to existing fitness devices and apps like Withings, Runkeeper, Noom Coach and Runtastic.
The app is currently available in Google’s Play Store and they can be downloaded for free, however, its only compatible with Android devices that are running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and above.
