Last night in Johor Bahru, an argument over a stained pair of slippers led to a man being stabbed to death.
56 year old labourer, Sahral Asmara, was in an argument with his neighbour, a 42 year old Indonesian man with permanent resident status, at a squatter area in Jalan Kebun Teh Lama at about 8.00pm.
According to the New Straits Times, the two had argued over who was at fault for the Indonesian man’s slippers being stained with dog faeces. Unfortunately, the argument became heated and Sahral Asmara was subsequently stabbed in the waist by the Indonesian man.
Johor Bahru Selatan police chief Assistant Commissioner, Sulaiman Salleh, said that the neighbours heard Sahral scream for help. And when they arrive at the scene, they found an eight-inch long knife buried in Sahral’s right waist, he said.
Sulaiman Salleh also added that the suspect fled after the incident and the police are currently hunting for him now.
