Vegetables colors! Different color different benefits!


Eat up your Veggies! That is what our mum always shout to us when we were kids. Even till today. 

Well, do you all know what are the benefits? Vegetables are not only associated with the color green, there are a few colors which is associated with vegetables. Did you know?

Each color has their own benefits, here they are:


1. Green.


They contain Lutein which is an antioxidant that improves our vision. They also contain potassium, vitamin C, vitamin K and folic acid.


2. Orange.


Full with Betacarotene along with vitamin C. It also promotes vision, give us a healthier skin and a boost in immune system.


3. Red.


Full of phytochemicals such as lycopene and anthocyanins, which improves our heart and reduce the risk of cancer.


4. Purple. 


Abundant amount of antioxidants and phytochemicals. Purple act as an anti-aging agent, reduces the risk of cancer and improve our mental strength.


5. White. 


Also rich in phytochemicals and potassium. It helps to reduce cholesterol levels, lower our blood pressure and reduce the risk of diabetes. 


So, eat up all your vegetables with all different colors. Mix them up. Salad is looking great now.
