This guy explains why PTPTN is not EVIL

I am one of the peminjam.

The last time I pay the pinjaman (on consistent basis) was in year 2010. Yes Sir, I didnt make the payment since 5 years back (kalau ada pun, maybe xsampai 10 kali bayar dlm masa 5 tahun, paling2 pun RM200 sekali bayar).

To be frank, it was not because I cannot afford to pay RM200 per month. It was because of I was very much busy with my job and very much ignorance to even explore on the payment mechanism option.

Dont get me wrong. I was not running away from debt, it is more that I was weak in managing payment for my debt. But I do want to pay the debt.

Lately, there are so many FB posting regarding PTPTN.

Memandangkan diri sendiri adalah penghutang, maka samada nak tak nak, I just have to face the so-labelled Zalim organisation.

So I went to PTPTN small office at UTC Kuantan yesterday.

Guess what? I can actually do penstrukturan semula pembayaran.

As a result of the perbincangan, the rate for me is reduced from 3% to 1%. I can continue my loan payment at RM190++/month for 10 years.

Off course, there are paperwork need to be done and new agreement to be signed. But my permohonan was considered and agreed in principle.

1. First and foremost, kita pinjam duit dari PTPTN. Please advise me in what religion, penganut dia diwajibkan lari dari bayar duit yang dipinjam?

3. Just like me, I believe most of us xbaca betul2 pun agreement PTPTN masa kita sign dulu. Main sign je asalkan dapat duit. But is it due to their mistake or is it due to our ignorance? Be frank to ourself.

4. Kalau dapat diputarkan masa, I would personally advise the old me not to take PTPTN but to explore other option e.g. convertible loan from mara, cari biasiswa, kerja part-time. One simple reason i.e. It is not a wise decision to have debt before you start to earn your steady income.

5. But the thing is I dont have Mesin Cahaya Masa Doraemon. Thus, I cannot turn back the pendulum.

6. Kita dah berhutang, kita wajib bayar. As simple as that.

Tapi kalau kita percaya bulat2 kat Jiran A, and terus benci Jiran B, kita yang rugi kalau Jiran B tu actually jiran yang bagus. Mungkin Jiran A sebenarnya orang yang bermasalah.

9. As for my case, I am grateful that no legal action was taken on me for not making significant payment for the last 5 years. Cuba bayangkan kalau kita xbayar loan kereta 2-3 bulan? Mesti bank dah hantar gangster tarik kereta kita. Bandingkan Bank dengan PTPTN, siapa lagi zalim?

Kalau kita boleh faham tindakan aggressif bank bila kita xbayar hutang, kenapa susah sangat kita nak faham keperluan untuk bayar loan PTPTN?

Akhir kata, saya ingin berkongsi pandangan berikut:-

1. Bila kita berhutang dan janji nak bayar, kita wajib bayar. Otherwise, we should be ashamed of ourself when we talk about integrity and konsep tidak berlaku zalim.

Terima kasih.
