Taylor’s University has terminated its contract with the bus operator Wawasan Sutera, who ferried red shirt rally participants to Kuala Lumpur using the bus bearing the logo of the education institution.
This, it assured, was in accordance with the terms and conditions of its contract with Wawasan Sutera, to whom the bus belonged.
“In compliance with the terms and conditions of the contract that requires a two-month notice, Wawasan Sutera bus services will continue to run according to the agreed schedule without disruption of services until Nov 16 2015.
“This is to ensure that the decision to terminate the contract will not inconvenient the needs of our students and staff who are reliant on this shuttle service.
“A new bus operator will commence its services on Nov 17, 2015,” the university management said in a statement posted on their Facebook page, last night.
Taylor’s reiterated that it did not authorise the use of the bus bearing their logo for the ferrying of rally-goers that day.
“Again, we wish to express our regret on the unintentional association of Taylor’s University with this event.”
On Wednesday, a bus bearing Taylor’s University’s logo dropped rally participants at the capital city centre.
