Police shot two suspected robbers dead at Puchong Permai

Two robbers were shot dead for robbing a woman in front of a bank in Taman Puchong Prima this morning.

The incident took place at around 11.15 am when the 39 year old woman had just walked out of the bank when she was approached by these two suspects who broke her car window and took her purse.

Selangor criminal investigation chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Mohd Adnan Abdullah said 15 minutes after the incident, police tracked down the suspects who were escaping in a blue Honda City.

Police intercepted them at Persiaran Puchong Permai near a Tenaga Nasional Berhad power station heading towards the direction of Taman Puchong Tekali 1. The suspects was about 1.5km away from the robbery scene when police blocked their escape. They tried attacking the cops with machetes.

“The police had to fire several shots and both suspects were pronounced dead at the scene.

“Initial investigations revealed that the getaway car used by the suspects had been reportedly stolen two days ago in Kelana Jaya.”

Police believed that the suspects were using the stolen car to carry out robberies following the discovery of three machetes in the car.

The bodies of the suspects have been sent to Serdang Hospital for autospy.
