Datuk Jamal Md Yunos, who is leading the Sept 16 Red Shirts rally says that other races are more than welcome to join the gathering as long as they ”don’t wear yellow”
The Sungai Besar UMNO division chief said that the rally aimed to uphold ”Malay Dignity” but also welcome anyone else who are on the same page as them even if they are Chinese and Indians.
“We invite all races that agree with our stand to preserve the decision made in the last general election.
“They are more than welcome to come, they can even wear a red T-shirt.”
“I believe after the discussion today, police will give permission because our rally is different from Bersih.
“They want to topple the government. What we are doing is having a rally that is in line with the Constitution.
“From among the NGOs, we have committed the attendance of 30,000 from NGOs.”
