There are certainly many stretch of roads in Malaysia which are not well taken care off and we are pretty sure most of you want all these roads to be repaired by the Works ministry as soon as possible.
The good news is recently Works ministry set aside a whopping RM1.037 billion this year for maintenance work of federal roads which stretches 17,458 kilometers nationwide. As part of improving the roads, they are developing a new smartphone application that basically allows public to take photos of roads or infrastructural damages and send them directly to the ministry.
According to Works minister, Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, this new app will fasten the process of work repairs as information on the location of broken/poor condition roads will be received faster. He also added that this new app is only meant for highways, federal roads and their infrastructures, state and village roads will not be covered as they are the responsibility of the state governments.
