iPhone Users, WhatsApp Web is finally coming to iPhone

Facebook Inc. announced that it will purchase smartphone-messaging app company WhatsApp Inc. for $19 billion in cash and stock

You can now send WhatsApp messages to your friends from your via their laptops or desktops.

The WhatsApp website’s list of supported devices quietly gained iPhone today and a user on Reddit spotted the menu option on their iPhone, using it successfully to set up desktop messaging.

How do you check check if you have this feature already?

Head into WhatsApp, then settings and look for WhatsApp Web in the list.

Support for pairing with your computer appears to be rolling out right now — it doesn’t appear for me, for example — but it’s exciting to see that it’s finally coming for iPhone users.

Android, Windows Phone, BlackBerry and Nokia S40/60 owners can already use WhatsApp Web, which launched earlier this year.
