Thousands of youth across the nation get together to share the fun through F&N sound beat movement.
Kuala Lumpur, 31 December 2015 – F&N Fun Flavours, the nation’s most loved flavoured soft drink brand for all seasons in celebration of life, once again elevated the level of joy by uniting thousands of youth through a fun beat movement in Kilang Bateri, Johor Bahru on 19 December 2015 alongside notable line-ups such as HUJAN, Diandra Arjunaidi and Nastia, with Ikwan from HOT FM as the host for the night.
To get Malaysians into the groove with the movement, F&N Fun Flavours launched a month-long ‘Baru Betul Ceria’ campaign via a TV commercial and Facebook, which depicted a group of teenagers interacting with funky sound beats released from a can such as fizz, gulp, pour and crush. The brand mixed up the fun further by engaging fans to create their own ‘rentak’ (tune) through a variety of sound beats and rhythms, which they can participate in the Rentak F&N website. This campaign called upon youth to be bold and creative in submitting their own composition using the fun beats, showcase their creativity in a jovial way and share them on social platforms. This campaign saw Tomok, Elizabeth Tan, Altimet, Yana Samsudin, Bunkface, Haniff from ERA FM and HUJAN sharing a series of inspiring videos across Facebook and Instagram with the hashtag #RentakFN and #BaruBetulCeria to further encourage the Malaysian youth to spread the cheer through fun beats! Rentak F&N was a resounding success with thousands of tunes recorded within the campaign period!
The “fun in a can” concept had taken a step further as F&N Fun Flavours cranked up the volume by bringing the fun beats from a digital experience to life by connecting thousands of fans around the nation.
“Spreading cheer has always been at the core essence of everything we do. As a fun-loving brand, F&N went down south this year to inject even more cheer and excitement into our upcoming Rentak F&N event. We aimed to fuel youths’ desire to express themselves through music by quenching their thirst for an interactive and immersive experience. Upon entry into the venue, guests were immersed in the audio experience amplified by live performances, fun activations and perfectly chilled F&N Fun Flavours soft drinks. Fans also participated in other fun activities such as creating their own tunes on ground, from backdrops to F&N cans that released sound beats when touched (a unique digital sound device triggered by touch), making fun short videos and converting them into hardcopy action flipbooks within minutes and being mesmerized by ‘No Noise’ percussion – a performance using everyday household items to create music. The spread of cheer did not stop there, as fans had the opportunity to join hands with Malaysia’s famed rock group HUJAN to play a 1-minute tune of different sound beats.
