Deadly accident occured at Kulim-Baling-Grik Expressway

A Perodua Kancil and a Nissan Sentra met in a huge accident on Sunday at KM45 of the Kulim-Baling-Grik Expressway killing a family of three.

Based on reports, Alias Ahmad, 51, who is a security guard, his wife, Rosnah Hashim, 51, and son, Mohd Sufian Alias, 12, was in the Kancil when it collided with the Sentra. Alias died on the spot and his wife and son on the other hand died when they were being treated at the Kulim Hospital as their injuries were severe.

There were four passengers in the Nissan Sentra and they are identified as Abu Mansor Ahmad (a policeman and the driver), 50, Hasnah Hamid, 51, Esah Rahman, 77, and Ali Dahawang, 62. All of them were injured except for Esah Rahman who died on the spot.

According to Baling OCPD Deputy, Supt K Wari, the accident is currently being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 which is death by reckless or dangerous driving.
