According to Asia One, the flesh trade was halted when a team of Malacca police went undercover to track down the illegal business.

Apparently their pimps are two brothers who said to be related to a policeman.

How these pimps get ”clients”?

It is learnt that, ”clients” themselves engage in online conversations with the pimps through WeChat application.

Police found out that Malaysian, Thai and Vietnamese college students had been offering sexual services for some time now through online booking. .

Eash session cost RM250 to RM300 for Malaysians while the foreigners charged between RM165 to RM200.

State police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Ramli Din said yesterday that he had placed a special focus on cracking down on prostitution syndicates and illegal gambling outlets.

“We have seized all the evidence, including condoms, at a hotel used as a base by the pimps involved.

“Based on a preliminary probe, the prostitution ring has been active here for a month,” he said yesterday.

DCP Ramli also busted a second syndicate also using social media to promote sex services to clients in Malaysia. These prostitute ring had three foreign women aged between 25 and 29.

DCP Ramli also said that in a follow-up crackdown at 1am on Tuesday, police had detained two men aged 37 and 40 years also for prostituting three foreign women aged between 25 and 29.

Malacca’s United Crime Prevention Association chairman R.A. Sharavana said the alleged involvement of college students in the flesh trade had been circulating for some time now.

Saravana said that some college students indulge in such activities to pay for their lavish lifestyles.

“Some come from other states and need money for clothing and other luxuries,” he added.
