Two British medical students were murdered in Kuching, Malaysia after being attacked by a gang of drunken men.
Both of the victims were stabbed as they walked home from a night out on the island, where they were studying on an elective subject. A statement released by the university has named the dead men as Neil Dalton and Aidan Brunger. Both of them are 22 years of age.
Both Neil Dalton and Aidan Brunger were fourth year medical students from Newcastle University who were attached to the general hospital in Kuching in Malaysia.
They were killed as they walked back to a backpackers lodge in the city when a group of drunken men who had been drinking at a different pub confronted them on Abell Road. They were found lying on the road several metres apart at 4am with seriously wounds.
Police now have arrested four suspects that might have been the murders of this two young students.
