Arsenal has completed the signing of Danny Welbeck from Manchester United as united are prepared to let Welbeck leave for the season with new signing Radamel Falcao, Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie knowingly ahead of the 23 years old in the pecking order.
The 23 year old has played for England 26 times and has signed a ”long term deal” at the Emirates Stadium. Danny Welbeck has scored 29 goals in 142 United appearances but was told he could given the impending arrival of Radamel Falcao on loan fro Monaco.
Tottenham were interested and it was initially thought that Welbeck preferred a move to White Hart Lane. Arsenal say the Welbeck deal is subject “to the completion of regulatory formalities”.
Meanwhile, Arsenal’s Japanese midfielder Ryo Miyaichi, 21, has joined Dutch side FC Twente on loan for the remainder of the season.
