1. Google, Kuala Lumpur
Google Kuala Lumpur has occupied about 10,000 sq ft of space on Level 20 of the Quill 7 building which is located next to the western entrance of KL Sentral train station and the Sooka Sentral F&B complex. Free food and free drinks (Coke, Tiger, Cornetto, Pringles, Magnum, Belgian Hoegaarden beer, Vitagen and much more) for all staff, playing room which includes darts, Sony PS4, Xbox and Pacman arcade game are also some of the entertainment provided for the staffs.
2. Leaderonomics, Kuala Lumpur
LEADERONOMICS is in the business of leadership and fun motivation. When commissioned to undertake the design of its workspace, FSHDesign Group partner and design director Max Barcham was happy to encapsulate the meaning of “fun” in the workspace by including a swing and designing R&R (rest and relax) spaces.
3. Genovasi, Kuala Lumpur
GENOVASI, the only Design Thinking School in Malaysia is situated in the industrial enclave of Petaling Jaya. All of its 20,000 sq ft includes a cafeteria area beckons with a pantry area while unlimited drinks and snacks keep hunger pangs at bay. Lockers for the students are available and colourful chairs and other modular furtniture pepper the area. And, there is even a futsal court complete with mobile goal posts for warm-up exercises!
4. MindValley, Kuala Lumpur
MINDVALLEY is a multiple award-winning office which occupies two levels at Menara UOA in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. Envisioned as a breeding ground for eureka moments, the 5,095sq ft and 6,940sq ft offices respectively thrive on the versatile working scenarios ranging from private nooks, meeting rooms, bar settings and bean-bag areas.
5. Groupon Malaysia, Petaling Jaya
Groupon Malaysia’s office just screams FUN! Definitely lots of young energy in this place from the photos. Like, who would have thought of naming their board rooms ‘Boredroom’? It also comes equipped with beanbags, ping pong and snooker tables, a TV and an Xbox! Dealing with stress won’t be a problem at all, although procrastination might be.
6. Nuffnang, Kuala Lumpur
THE Nuffnang/Churp Churp’s KL office and this made us realise one thing: bean bags are a default in these cool offices because they have them too! In addition, trendy offices apparently either come with brick walls (as shown in the previous two examples) or colourful ones like Nuffnang’s bright orange. They don’t just have an Xbox, they have a Wii too! Guess they can get their exercise fix with Wii Sports then.
7. Rev Asia, Petaling Jaya
REV Asia owns and operates top authority brands with an extensive distribution platform that is able to reach a total reach of approximately 14 million people each month through the power of social media marketing. But whats even cooler, is their office space. It comes equipped with a bar, snooker table, foosball table and lots more.
8. Leo Burnett – Arc Worldwide, Kuala Lumpur
Leo Burnett Worldwide is an American globally active advertising company. Most of the employees are aged between 20 – 30s and these people are definitely not going to settle for a boring office workspace.
We seriously need more offices like this!!!
