About 1.2 million names around the world were submitted through NASA’s official website and out of that figure, 5,638 were names submitted by Malaysians.
That’s right — all of your names have been successfully etched on a microchip and it will soon be heading out of the planet earth. According to one of the spokesperson from NASA, the names will begin its journey on a dime sized microchip when the agency’s Orion spacecraft launches which falls on the 4th of December, 2014.
For those who have not submitted their names, don’t worry as you still have the chance to do so. However, you have to be quick as the last day of registration is on the 31st of October 2014.
