More than 100,000 people have evacuated their homes in parts of northern Malaysia hit by the country’s worst monsoon floods in decades.

A students’ group Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (Usim) has also started to mobilise relief efforts to help the flood victims.Donations can be made by contacting the group’s representative, Waliuddin at tel: 014-5038534 or Baihaqi at tel: 010-9077501.
The Young Buddhist Association of Malaysia (YBAM) is also collecting funds for flood victims. Those wishing to contribute may send cheques made payable to “Young Buddhist Association of Malaysia” and indicated “Flood Relief Fund” at the back of the cheques.
