1. National Library of Malaysia (Perpustakaan Negara Malaysia)
The National Library is responsible for providing a collection of knowledge at national level for the present and future generations. In its effort to strengthen the library’s collection, the National Library continues to play an active role in its acquisition of library materials through enforcement of the Deposit of Library Material Act 1986, acquisition, gift and exchange. The National Library total collection is 4.05 million units of which 3.85 million are printed materials, 98,364 non-printed materials, 4,660 Malay Manuscript and 95,984 digital materials.

2. The Japan Foundation Kuala Lumpur (JFKL)
The Japan Foundation is a non-profit organization established with the purpose of fostering mutual cultural exchange between Japan and other countries. a. It includes a library that’s open to everyone and offers a variety of reading materials in English, Japanese and Malay, as well as a Japanese language department for Japanese language training. JFKL also regularly organises Japanese cultural shows for the public.

3. KL Library (TTDI branch)
The voracious reader will relish this treasure trove replete with encyclopaedias, dictionaries, fiction and even self-help books. There are long tables and cosy sofas to prolong your stay but we prefer the cosy nooks where you can hole up with a good read.

4. Kurau Community Library
All raw cement and steel, the Kurau Community Library is a space designed by Ng Seksan where kids and college students alike can hang out and read. The Kurau Community Library, a project by renowned architect Ng Seksan is looking for book donations.

5. Raja Tun Uda Library
Selangor State Library located in section 13, Shah Alam is a new, hi-tech and well-equipped with modern facilities. The RM70mil library has the ‘library in a park’ concept which also near to Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Golf Club. The library also has various areas to cater different age groups including 3 gymnasiums. Young children can visit the Creative Zone where there is a reading tree, a small stage and an activity room. While, movie buffs can go for a unique 6D experience and watch 3D movies. The library also offers free WiFi for visitors and they can use any of the 100 personal computers placed in the premises.
