5. Cosans Coffee
In collaboration with various NGOs such as BIG IDEAS, Cosans is a coffee place unlike the ordinary. They take their CSR seriously and provide customers the opportunity to give back to society while at the same time still enjoy their cuppa. Serving sandwiches and cakes alongside coffee, the environment is cool and there’s also a big outdoor seating area. The minor downside: only go if you can afford to spend a little bit more (RM11 for a regular cappuccino, RM13 for a large one).

7. Morningwood MY
Co-founder Jared Lee explains that the wood features of the café was actually the inspiration for the name. Being the jokesters that they are, the name stuck. The space is quite small but that’s no deterrent for students around the area to take up the tables with their laptops. Come weekends, a different crowd flocks in families. Their food has some of the common selections like the morningwood sandwich and some are quite unique like the hot chicks, black pasta and many more. They have standard coffees added with some extra coffee mixture like nutella Latte.

8. Coffee Cottage
Where to drink coffee, look at cats and touch them at the same time? Coffee Cottage at SS15 is the place to go to! Be prepared to be fuzzy-attacked by the overload of cuteness these cats have to offer. Oh, and their coffee too, of course. The only obligation to enter into the cat zone is to order a cup of coffee per person. Their Nutella latte is wonderful to taste and their cakes are too, although slightly over-chilled.

Le Lumineux Cafe is non-halal. Hence, you’ll be expecting some pretty porky dishes like the innovative Spicy Pork Masala. Made with minced pork in a tomato-curry base sauce, that coats the spaghetti beautifully. Do not be fooled by its plain appearance as the sauce is quite spicy. After all, there is chilli padi hidden beneath the mountain of sauce. A nice balanced, interesting flavour and a decent portion – it is indeed pretty good.
